We’re Hiring: A part-time Seasonal Ice Cream Shop Supervisor

Do you love ice cream, people and providing excellent customer service? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable part-time Seasonal ice cream shop supervisor. This is to help run our busy on-farm ice cream shop and keep things running smoothly, even on the hottest days.

About the role

We’re hiring a part-time seasonal ice cream shop supervisor. This will initially be on a fixed term seasonal contract for 10 months. Starting ideally w/c 23rd February 2026 or as soon as possible until end December 2026. There is the ability to extend this into a permanent role for the right candidate.
There is flexibility for the ideal candidate in the number of hours (between 16.5 and 28 hours available) and number of days of the week (spread over a minimum of 3 days a week and this must include a minimum of 1 day a week at weekends) every week. Core hours of work will be 11.45am to 5.15pm on either Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Availability is also required on spring/summer bank holiday Mondays.
Pay dependent on experience.
You will often expected to be the most senior person on-site during peak trading. You will need to ensure smooth operations, excellent customer experience, and confident leadership of seasonal staff. Especially on weekends and busy summer days.

What you’ll do:


• Serve customers in our ice cream shop, delivering a memorable customer experience (including scooping ice cream).
• Lead day-to-day shop operations during peak periods and at times taking full responsibility for trading, especially at the weekend and whilst covering holidays.
• Manage overall running of the shop ensuring stock is kept replenished.
• Supervise other weekend or seasonal staff members.
• Help prepare and execute events (including off-site service using our ice cream bicycle).
• Comply with all food safety and food hygiene requirements.
• Ensure shop and production area are kept clean.
• Open and close the shop as required ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Handle customer or staff-issues calmly and professionally
• Ensure correct handling, storage, and presentation of product
• To assist with ice cream production or possibly on occasion deliver ice cream

What we’re looking for:

Essential
• To be available for the hours available outlined in the job description above. Note you must be available on either Saturdays or Sundays (ideally both) to apply. You must also be available to work most weekends throughout the season.
• Previous customer facing experience
• Comfortable being the senior person on site
• Organised, calm, and people-focused
• To be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• To be friendly and professional with good communication skills.
• To be trustworthy and self motivated
Desirable
• Experience leading shifts in a high-volume hospitality or retail food environment
• Experience working with ice cream and/ or experience supporting or running events
• Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience
• Food Hygiene qualification
• Full clean driving license
• First aid qualification
