WE ARE HIRING
We are looking to recruit a Serving & Production Assistant. This is based at our shop at the farm on the outskirts of Daresbury. As a family -run, artisan ice cream business and we make all our ice cream at the farm using milk from the cows. Using the finest ingredients we pride ourselves on making great ice cream and delivering a warm and friendly welcome to all our customers. With the busy Spring & Summer season approaching we are looking to expand our team.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a part time Serving & Production Assistant to work between 11 and 22 hours a week. There is flexibility in the hours and the number of days of per week. However, this must be spread over a minimum of 2 days a week and this must include a minimum of 1 day a week at weekends and 1 day a week mid-week, every week. Core hours of work will be 11.45am to 5.15pm. This will initially be on a fixed term seasonal contract for 7 months, starting March 2024 or as soon as possible. There is the possibility this could be extended. Pay dependent on experience.
What you will be doing
You will be serving customers in our ice cream shop and delivering a memorable customer experience. Duties will include scooping ice cream and managing overall running of the shop ensuring stock is kept replenished and the shop is kept clean. It is essential you can work independently but you will also be required to work as part of a team and at times supervise others. You must be friendly and professional, with good communication skills.
There is also the scope within this role to assist with the production of ice cream. Therefore, prior experience working within a food business is desirable as is a level 2 in Food Safety. Whilst it is essential you comply with all food safety and food hygiene regulations; full training will be given. You will occasionally be required to serve ice cream at local events and possibly to deliver our ice cream. A full clean UK driving license would also be an advantage.
